  3. The interesting thing about Gamalon, is despite the blinding virtuosity, the songs are fully formed ideas. None of the material is merely a vehicle for self indulgence or mindless shredding. These songs stand on their own. "Black Licorice" is unique, stating a menacing funk groove, before moving onto a more dreamy, elastic guitar workout/5(12).
